Hi, I’m Larry Hong. I’m a Korean-American tutor with more than 10 years experience teaching students K-12 to become better prepared not only for the next test but also for the years ahead. I have an honors degree in Neuroscience from Brown University and have taught in the greater Los Angeles area for over 6 years, mentoring and guiding students who have attended schools such as La Cañada Public High School and Harvard Westlake.
I provide one-on-one personalized long-term tutoring for students who need help building better study habits, organizational skills, and critical-thinking fundamentals. My philosophy is that better results comes from understanding, not just through repeated memorization.
With an attention to detail and the right guidance, I believe that all students have the ability to find the motivation to succeed. I recognize each of my students are unique, and I make sure that my teaching focuses on areas for growth that create breakthrough moments.
